The top three Ping Custom Fitters in the TGI Golf Partnership representing England, Scotland and Ireland, were named and headed out to the States to collect their awards.
The three national representatives, Rob Macey (Norwood Park, England), Craig Donnelly (Balbirnie Park, Scotland) and Liam Bowler (Wexford, Ireland) proved to be top of the class when it came to custom fitting
During the trip the three received an exclusive tour of Ping headquarters where they each received a VIP custom fitting as well as playing a couple of rounds on some of the world’s most famous golf courses.
The winners were selected based on a set of criteria Ping put together covering a wide range of aspects which included;
– The standard of fitting facilities and equipment
– Commitment to custom fitting
– The standard of the Custom Fitter and the use of Ping fitting equipment
– The in-store commitment to Ping stocking and selling the full breadth of product line
“We are thrilled to be taking Rob, Craig and Liam to the PING headquarters in Phoenix for an exclusive tour of our facilities,” said Steve Carter, PING European Sales Director.
“During their visit, they will each receive a VIP custom fitting and will also go inside the Ping putter lab and the famous Ping gold putter vault. It was a tough decision to select the three winners, as so many of our customers are great fitters, but Rob, Craig and Liam all have excellent facilities and are fully committed to custom fitting. They are strong supporters of the Ping brand and each are very worthy winners of their respective regions in 2016”.
“It was a massive honour to receive the Ping TGI Custom Fitter award for Ireland recently and especially from Ping who are the leading brand in custom fitting. In Wexford Golf Club, myself and fellow PGA Professional Darren Walsh get a real enjoyment from fitting and is especially rewarding for the work we have done over the last couple of years. We are looking forward to 2017 and further developing our custom fitting for all customers and members of Wexford Golf Club” said Liam Bowler, Head PGA Professional Wexford GC
